Principal’s Welcome  

Welcome to our school! My name is Elizabeth Maldonado, and I am the proud Principal of Nueva Vista High School. I am happy to say that I am a Bassett Unified School District Unified alumnus. I am a product of Don Julian Elementary School, Torch Middle School, and Bassett High School. I am committed to working tirelessly to provide all our BUSD students with a quality education that will allow them to fulfill their potential.  It is a privilege and honor to be able to come home to our community and serve our students and families as your principal.

As a Nueva Vista staff, we are committed to ensuring our students have the best academic and character-building opportunities as we prepare them for college and careers. We provide alternative pathways to high school completion and partner with agencies and organizations to ensure our students have options for college and career!

We welcome families and community partners to collaborate with us as we prepare our students for college and careers. It is a privilege to serve our students, and I look forward to working with all our educational partners! Our doors are always open, come and experience what Nueva Vista High School has to offer! It is a great day to be an Explorer!
